From October 28 to 30, 2026, the 29th China Fisheries & Seafood Expo (CFSE) will be held in Qingdao. The SMEOCEAN team will attend the expo, focusing on offshore aquaculture equipment and mooring demand.
1,615 companies from 50 countries and regions have registered for this year's expo. First held in Qingdao in 1996, CFSE is now one of the largest seafood trade exhibitions in the world.
Offshore aquaculture is moving into deeper and more exposed waters. As cage systems expand further offshore, mooring requirements are rising — higher loads, stricter certification, and longer service life. CFSE is where these trends show up first.
At recent editions, we have seen growing attention to chain grade selection, corrosion protection, and class society certification among aquaculture buyers. This year, we expect the same.
At this year's expo, we will focus on:
Trends in offshore cage mooring design
Actual mooring needs from aquaculture companies
Changing applications of R3/R4 grade chains in aquaculture
Differences in certification requirements across markets
SMEOCEAN specializes in marine aquaculture mooring systems. Our products serve major salmon farming markets including Norway, Chile, and Canada, with supporting capabilities for standards such as NS 9415.
During the expo, we can provide:
Aquaculture mooring chain selection advice
Anchoring solution technical consultation
Class society certification support
SMEOCEAN is a Qingdao-based company, and the expo is right on our doorstep. During the expo, we welcome industry partners to schedule a meeting.
