Grade 100 Lifting Chain EN818-8
The G100 lifting chain (CHAIN-G10) is made of special alloy steel, quenched and tempered, and conforms to EN818-8 standard (Grade 100). Compared to the common G80 chain, it increases the working load by approximately 25% at the same diameter and has better fatigue resistance. The chain has a safety factor of 4:1 and factory test certificates and classification society certifications are available.
G100 chains are widely used in chain hoists, chain slings, engineering lifting, and offshore operations. Its biggest advantage is that when performing the same lifting task, a chain one size thinner than G80 can be selected (e.g., G100 8mm instead of G80 10mm), reducing the chain weight by approximately 36%. It can also be paired with smaller, lighter hooks and shackles, reducing the overall cost of the lifting equipment and the labor intensity of the operators.
