Permanent Wire Chaser is a specialized tool designed for the recovery and positioning of anchors in semi-submersible drilling rig mooring systems. It provides a reliable chasing system for rigs equipped with wire rope mooring cables, particularly in deepwater operations.
Key Features:
Efficient Recovery: Enables rapid recovery by sliding down the wire rope to hook the anchor or chain in the event of a buoy line failure or breakage.
Wear-Resistant Design: The internal rocker is made of a wear-resistant alloy offering superior hardness; however, the material hardness is calibrated to remain lower than that of the wire rope and chain, preventing damage to the mooring rigging.
Easy Maintenance: The rocker is installed via a through-bolt; the design prevents nut seizure and allows for easy disassembly and replacement.
High Load Capacity: Standard Safe Working Loads (SWL) are 130 tonnes and 250 tonnes, with proof loads reaching 250 tonnes and 400 tonnes.
Global Applicability: Suitable for single-fluke and twin-fluke anchor mooring systems worldwide.
Comprehensive Certification: Certificates from major classification societies—such as CCS, ABS, BV, LR, DNVGL, NK, and KR—are available.
